Sebastián Méndez renunció como DT de Gimnasia por la muerte de Maradona

El ayudante de campo del “10”, que estaba dirigiendo al primer equipo por su delicado momento de salud, decidió dar un paso al costado porque había llegado al club junto a Maradona.

El ayudante de campo de Diego Maradona y director técnico interino de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata en los últimos días de internación del astro fallecido este miércoles, Sebastián Méndez, renunció a su cargo y explicó que se va porque había llegado al club con el “10”.

El Gallego le comunicó al presidente del club que llegó al club con Maradona y por eso ahora se va con él. Lo mismo sucede con el otro ayudante, Adrián González.

Leandro Martini confirmó que Méndez renunció a su cargo y él se hará cargo del plantel a partir de este viernes junto a Mariano Messera y el preparador físico Ignacio Dahul.

“El presidente, Gabriel Pellegrino, me llamó después de las 22 para informarme de la renuncia del ‘Gallego’ Méndez y me comunicó que este viernes nos tenemos que hacer cargo del plantel con Messera”, le explicó a la agencia Télam el propio Martini, que junto a su compañero de dupla técnica está a cargo de la Reserva y ya saben lo que es hacerse cargo del primer equipo cuando renunciaron otros entrenadores anteriormente.

Este sábado a las 19.20, Gimnasia jugará con Vélez Sarsfield en Liniers y el viernes 4 de diciembre a las 17.10 con Huracán en el Bosque, cerrando su participación en el Grupo 6 de la Copa de la Liga Profesional.

El plantel del Lobo se reunió en la mañana de este jueves en el predio de Estancia Chica, donde se hizo un minuto de silencio en homenaje a Maradona, como sucedió en las prácticas de todos los equipos del fútbol argentino, pero no entrenó, sino que se trasladó hacia la Casa Rosada para asistir al velatorio de su entrenador.
