Barcelona podrÃa volver a imponer algunas de las restricciones al dÃa a dÃa de sus ciudadanos después que el número de casos por el nuevo coronavirus se triplicará en una semana, adelantó su alcaldesa, mientras alrededor de 160.000 personas en la región de Lleida volvieron al confinamiento para tratar de detener la propagación del virus.
Apenas unas semanas después de que se levantaran las medidas de confinamiento a nivel nacional y la vida volviera a la normalidad al bajar los Ãndices de infección, la segunda región más poblada de España reportó este miércoles tres muertes y 938 nuevos casos de coronavirus en las últimas 24 horas.
Alrededor del 63% de esos nuevos casos se detectaron en Barcelona y sus alrededores, despertando el temor de que la capital catalana y también popular destino turÃstico pudieran volver a ser un epicentro del virus.
“En Barcelona se han triplicado los casos y, si los rastreadores no pueden rastrear inmediatamente, el contagio se nos puede escapar. Eso es lo que más nos preocupaâ€, declaró Ada Colau a la emisora de radio Ser Catalunya.
La alcaldesa citó como causa principal las reuniones informales sin la protección adecuada.
Hay 29 brotes de coronavirus en la segunda ciudad más grande de España, dijeron las autoridades.
“Nadie está planteando el confinamiento total, ahora mismoâ€, dijo Colau, que no descarta dar “un pequeño paso atrás†respecto a la situación actual de normalidad, para poder contener mejor los brotes detectados. Colau no concretó qué actividades podrÃan ser restringidas y añadió que esto se discutirá en los próximos dos dÃas.
