La Copa de la Liga Profesional comenzará este viernes y se extenderá hasta enero para marcar el retorno oficial del fútbol argentino. Con un formato complejo y dos cupos internacionales en juego, el torneo pondrá en marcha la actividad local después de más de siete meses de inactividad por la pandemia de coronavirus. Todo lo que tenés que saber de los 24 equipos para estar al día.
LOS GRUPOS PARA LA PRIMERA FASE DE LA COPA DE LA LIGA PROFESIONAL
GRUPO 1: Racing, Arsenal, Atlético Tucumán y Unión
GRUPO 2: Independiente, Defensa y Justicia, Central Córdoba (SdE) y Colón
GRUPO 3: River, Banfield, Godoy Cruz y Rosario Central
GRUPO 4: Boca, Lanús, Talleres y Newell’s
GRUPO 5: San Lorenzo, Argentinos Juniors, Aldosivi y Estudiantes
GRUPO 6: Vélez, Huracán, Patronato y Gimnasia
EL FORMATO DE LA COPA DE LA LIGA PROFESIONAL Y LAS PLAZAS INTERNACIONALES EN JUEGO
Desde el comienzo serán seis zonas de cuatro equipos y jugarán todos contra todos ida y vuelta. De allí, pasarán los primeros dos a pelear por el título y el pasaje a la Libertadores 2021, y los últimos dos de cada grupo pelearán por un lugar en la Sudamericana 2022.
En la segunda instancia habrá dos zonas de seis equipos (tanto en la pelea por la Libertadores como en la de la Sudamericana), donde jugarán todos contra todos pero a una sola ronda: los primeros del grupo de los “mejores” disputarán una final para definir al campeón y clasificado a la próxima Libertadores.
A su vez, los primeros de los grupos de los “peores” jugarán una final para resolver quién se mide ante el perdedor de la definición por el título entre los “mejores”, en busca del pasaje a la Sudamericana 2022.
CUÁNDO EMPIEZA Y CUÁNDO TERMINA LA COPA DE LA LIGA PROFESIONAL
El inicio del torneo será el viernes 30 de octubre y la fase inicial se terminará el 6/12. Se jugará todos los fines de semana hasta el 17 de enero de 2021, sin interrupciones incluso durante la doble jornada de Eliminatorias Sudamericanas prevista para noviembre, con margen para que entresemana se desarrollen también la Copa Argentina y los torneos internacionales.
LA COPA DE LA LIGA PROFESIONAL, SIN CLÁSICOS DE ARRANQUE NI PROMEDIOS
El campeonato no contará para la tabla de los descensos (suspendidos hasta 2022) ni tendrá la jornada de partidos interzonales entre los tradicionales rivales. Sí podrá haber cruces de este tipo a partir de la segunda etapa, para la que habrá un nuevo sorteo con los clasificados.
