El entrenador Ramón Díaz fue despedido este viernes como director técnico de Botafogo de Brasil, sin haber debutado en el banco de suplentes ya que el riojano fue presentado oficialmente en el cargo y luego viajó a Paraguay para ser operado, y aún no retornó a Rio de Janeiro.

El “Pelado” Díaz, quien será reemplazado por Eduardo Barroca, no informó los motivos de la cirugía a la prensa aunque se informó que no era riesgosa.

El club anunció oficialmente en un comunicado: “Botafogo informa que el entrenador Ramón Díaz y su equipo no seguirán en el club. Lamentablemente, debido a la salud del entrenador argentino, recién podría volver a Brasil el próximo 7 de diciembre y el club no puede esperar más”.

Finalmente la entidad carioca señaló: “Botafogo confía en que la salud de Ramón Díaz puede mejorar con todas sus fuerzas y le agradece a él y a sus asistentes Emiliano Díaz, Osmar Ferreyra, Jorge Pidal, Damián Paz y Juan Nicolás Rommannazi su tiempo en el club”.

Con el equipo a cargo de Emiliano Díaz, hijo de Ramón, Botafogo, perdió los tres cotejos que jugó y está en zona de descenso anteúltimo con 20 unidades a cuatro del colista Goiá, señaló Globo Esporte,

Eduardo Barroca llega al Botafogo después de un período de logros en las divisiones juveniles y una temporada en el equipo profesional del club. Estuvo casi seis meses como entrenador en 2019 y sumó 10 victorias, tres empates y 14 derrotas, con un 41% de eficacia.
