Fabián Doman se vacunó en Miami: “Vi mucha gente a la que rechazan”

“Me acaban de dar la vacuna, ¿ustedes tienen cámaras acá?”, pregunta entre risas Fabián Doman (56), todavía emocionado, minutos después de ser vacunado contra el coronavirus en los Estados Unidos.

El periodista y conductor de Intratables (América, lunes a viernes a las 21,15) viajó esta semana a Miami luego de consultar con sus médicos, realizar ciertos trámites y confirmar que estaba legalmente autorizado a recibir su dosis.

“Lo primero que me llamó la atención fue el crisol de nacionalidades. En la fila había venezolanos, españoles, italianos, argentinos y norteamericanos… Es que la escasez de vacunas es mundial”, señaló Doman, con su brazo izquierdo “bastante dolorido”.

“Acá están dando las vacunas de Moderna, la de Pfizer y la de Johnson & Johnson. Yo me tuve que dar la de Johnson por una cuestión de logística, porque es la única que es monodosis. Cualquiera de las otras dos me hubiera obligado a volver en 28 días, plantear el tema en el canal y la radio, hacer las respectivas cuarentenas, se me hacía imposible”, comentó el periodista.

“Así que logré darme la de Johnson”, agregó, con satisfacción. “Yo sé que esto es como contar caramelos en la cara de quien no los tiene pero cuando me vacunaron sentí una emoción difícil de describir, como un alivio, y lo digo con todo el respeto que me merece la gente que está esperando recibir su vacuna en nuestro país. Yo prioricé mi salud”, expresó Doman.

Su temor no es infundado: a pesar de que su edad no es factor de riesgo, el periodista arrastra ciertos antecedentes de enfermedades respiratorias que le jugarían en contra en caso de contagiarse.

“Antes de hacer el viaje me contacté con tres médicos, uno de ellos el doctor Eduardo López, que me autorizó a dar su nombre. Me preguntó: ‘¿Es legal?’. Yo le dije que sí. Y me contestó: ‘Andate ya’. Viajé ahora porque acá en Miami recién esta semana se autorizó para mayores de 50 años, y yo tengo 56”, aclaró.

“Lo que sí me gustaría aclarar es que esto no es un tour de vacunación, eh… No es lo que se vendía en enero. Hay vacunas, sí. Pero no es sencillo vacunarse: tenés que presentar documentación, llenar formularios, declaraciones juradas y muchas cosas más. Yo me vacuné presentando mi documento argentino, sin saltarme ninguna fila. Pero seguramente debe haber ayudado que yo viví cuatro años acá”, explicó el periodista

Y afirmó: “¿Cuánto sale la vacuna? Nada, en mi caso yo no pagué nada. Lo hice todo siguiendo los pasos que correspondían, a través de planillas y formularios. Después, ellos van cruzando todos los datos y te habilitan o no”.

“Yo quiero insistir con esto, que no quede la idea que acá venís y cualquiera se vacuna, que te las ofrecen por la calle como si fueran banderitas. No, para nada. Yo vi mucha gente que hizo la cola como yo y que a la hora de sentarse y recibir la vacuna, la rechazan”, advirtió Doman.

Según contó luego en Doman 910 (La Red AM 910, lunes a viernes a las 15), la idea de Fabián es regresar al país el fin de semana pero tardará un poco más en retomar su actividad laboral porque deberá pasar un tiempo aislado en su casa, respetando la cuarentena.
